Take a Tour of Sapulpa’s Vintage Advertising Murals

Sapulpa’s downtown is peppered with a variety of vintage advertising murals, most of which are closely based on actual historical advertisements that appeared in Sapulpa in the 1910’s. The murals were created as a civic project to beautify downtown sometime in the early 2000’s and have been maintained ever since. A few newcomers have continued the tradition, including the new D.C. Bass Construction sign painted on their new headquarters in a renovated building on Hobson. In addition to the recreated advertisements, Sapulpa still sports a few “ghost signs” of past painted advertisements.
